Neymar. Watch him.

If you live in Brazil you probably can read my last post in portuguese. If not, read this one then. You can read both if you want too.

The issue is You do love football (yes, football, futebol, fútbol, calcio, Fußball, not soccer) and want to watch something new.

Neymar is the guy, the only player in Brazilian fields that can be said to be on a high level, very close to Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi. If you do not believe, just watch him. One of the wonders of the internet is that you can see even a player of Australia making 20 goals in Samoa. But Neymar is worth to watch, is the new and now confirmed gem of the Brazilian Team.

Pelé is a real myth, the chimera of world cups and the thousand goals, however he cannot be surpassed, either because the playing circumstances are indeed different or either by his inherent quality. The only flaw is that his actions were not sufficiently recorded and televised, due to the precarious technologies of the age. Still, what we can see today of his playing is fascinanting and not less impressing. Unhappily, it is all in past.

In Brazil, by 60 years we hoped a new Pelé would rise. Gradually we abandoned the idea. No one can be compared with the Football King. So we rationally put him in the Stratosphere, as he is graded 11 out of 10. That is the only way we can grade others players with a 10, and so have arisen Dinamite, Zico, Sócrates, Rivellino, Maradona, Platini, Cruyff, Romario, Ronaldo, Zidane, Messi.

So we started comparing with this players, and contenting ourselves with 9 graded players, fictious new 'high-level players' (as every year there is some player who is called the new Messi or new Ronaldo) and failed great promises, like Robinho and Denílson (former Betis player, bought by around 19 Million Dollars in 1998), who did much less than expected.

By all of this, brazilians lost almost all hopes for good players and football, with all best playing in Europe and national championship living by junior players, former soccer stars in the verge of retirement and 8-graded players. Suddenly a young player is noticed, thin and audacious, who in his first test faced Ronaldo in his last prime as a player (2009). Neymar could not do much and people said he would be a bluff.

Neymar in 2009. Few hoped he would cause a revolution.

As years passed by, the same critics who said we would be nothing now paint him as the "new" King, daring to put both at the same level. But these opinions doesn't matter for the matter.

What matters is that, finally we brazilians have a 10-graded player, who can resemble Pelé the most, created by the fate. He is not the same and neither he needs to be, since the Football God must have lost the King's blueprint. However the good and beauty brazilians football lovers now can deposit theirs hopes in Neymar. And by irony of facts, he will play in Brazil a few more years until the World Cup.

In 2010, posing with the King. Already graded 9.

Because all of this, you need to enjoy: Watch Neymar now, in the start of his prime. History shows that players like him are born one in a decade or less. It is a player that already score more than 100 goals and is still under 20. As much as is a rarity to say that still exists top-scorers players living in Brazil - on average they are bought after 2 or 3 years.

Em 2011, Multi-Champion and wished by Europeans Clubs. One of the top-three players.

You will have the pleasure to see the next player to be send to the stratosphere. Not a 11 graded, but he sure can reach more than 10.
In 2012, reaching a new level. What awaits next?
